Block Island is a jewel of an island out on the horizon. Fifteen miles as the seagull flies, it is relatively easy to get to by ferry. Join in our expedition, guided by Naturalist, Mark Bullinger. Touring the island by van, take in great scenery, visit lighthouses and explore high bluffs and hidden beaches. There will be an opportunity to take in a little beach time and shop in the historic Old Harbor district. Box lunches will be supplied and enjoyed at one of many scenic settings.
To ensure the enjoyment of all guests, the event is open to individuals 16 and over. Participants should be in adequate physical shape for a mile or two of moderate walking on good dirt trails or prepared to wait at the van while the group hikes. There are restrooms along the way, but participants should be able to go two hours between rest stops.
