We apologize, however, this event is fully committed.

Under the full moon in mid-June, the prehistoric horseshoe crabs flock into our shallow, protected estuaries by the thousands. These living dinosaurs are here for a ritual that dates back over 400 million years to the late Ordovician Period. Outfitted with lamps and boots, guided by the Naturalist and the full moon, you’ll venture across the shallows of the Pond to witness the unusual creatures glide across the sandy shallows for their ancient ritual. It’s as close as you can get to experiencing the age of the dinosaurs first-hand.

For those who prefer to remain firmly grounded in the 21st-century comforts of the Inn, we will have live crabs in tanks and a slide/video presentation in the Sea Room open to the public beginning at 5:00 pm. The moonlight outing will begin at 8:30 pm.

Please note, tickets purchased for this event are non-refundable unless the event is canceled due to inclement weather. Weekapaug Inn reserves the right to cancel or postpone water events and outings, at its sole discretion, due to weather conditions and other hazards.
