Ocean House Art Series, “Undersea Treasures”

Join Dr. Bridget Buxton, University of Rhode Island underwater archaeologist, for a fascinating presentation on undersea treasures. Dr. Buxton is one of the top experts in this intriguing field. Her international research and work ranges from the Black Sea to the Titanic, diving in deep sea submersibles (most recently Oceangate’s Titan submersible), excavating shipwrecks and leading expeditions in Croatia, the Atlantic and the Indian Ocean. This richly illustrated presentation will reveal the stories behind some of the most important underwater archaeological discoveries of the century, including insight into one of Buxton’s latest expeditions in Israel.
