Raku Painting and Firing with Artisan in Residence: Trish Gianakis
Join Trish Gianakis in this two-day event to learn the history and process of Raku style pottery. Paint, fire and take home your own masterpiece.
DAY 1, October 10th: Choose a pre shaped pottery piece then paint with your own chosen colors.
DAY 2, October 11th: Fire on site into an 1800 degree kiln outside on the property to witness the exciting changed the firing brings to your piece! This will be outside, so dress accordingly.
Ages 8 and up only.

About Trish Gianakis:
Full-time Professor at Saint Peter’s University teaching in the Fine Arts Department in Jersey City, Adjunct professor for FIT’s Unity XR: AR, MR, VR Development Certificate Program I am a sculpture, published poet, and teach private art lessons/workshops at my studio in Stirling, NJ.
My fine art has been exhibited across the country. Recent exhibits include: 2021 International Online Exhibition, “The Endangered”; I have a page on artsy.net; SOLO, 2020 “Elements of Emotion” at Casa Colombo in Jersey City; 2019 “The Virginia Project” invited among 14 women artists to create art based on Tina Barry’s poems about Virginia Haggard, Marc Chagall’s lover, and her daughter Jean McNeil exhibition at LIU Humanities Gallery, Brooklyn, NY and Wired Gallery, NY; 2019 “14C” Juried Show, Jersey.
