Artist in Residence: Teek Eaton-Koch
On select weekends, local artists are invited to Ocean House to share their artistic vision and give a demonstration of their skills.
Enjoy a wine and cheese reception in the Living Room on Saturday evening from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m. Throughout the weekend, catch the featured artist in action as the sea air, sweeping views of the Atlantic and more than 150 years of history serve as inspiration for a work of art.
Teek Eaton-Koch is an architectural renderer, fine artist, and art teacher. He paints illustrations and renderings for developers, architects, and interior designers around the country. The American Society of Architectural Illustrators has recognized his work twice in 2012 and 2017, publishing his watercolors in their annual international juried competition catalog and accompanying exhibition. Teek enjoys working in watercolor, oil, and other hand media depicting architecture and landscapes. “I look for ways to illustrate the built and natural environment in a beautiful way where anyone can stop and relate to the artwork.”
When Teek is not in the studio he is teaching visual art part time at Stamford High School in Stamford, CT. He teaches courses in two-dimensional design, computer graphics, and 35mm film darkroom photography. Teek believes it’s important to share his content knowledge, increase the self-confidence of his students, and promote critical thinking in the art classroom.
Teek received his BFA and Master in Art Education from the Rhode Island School of Design. His work is available at Images Gallery in Old Greenwich, CT and the Louisa Gould Gallery on Martha’s Vineyard. He is also available to work on commission.
