Be delighted by this fun and fast paced demonstration in two artistic styles of plein air painting, with Lisa Miceli and Howard Park. Their styles and mediums are different–oil and watercolor–so pick your favorite painter and encourage them while distracting the other! Howard and Lisa will explain their process and use of color, all while engaging the audience in friendly conversation.
About The Artists:
Howard Park attended the Masters of Fine Arts program at Tufts University and studied at The School of The Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, and continued his studies in France at L’Ecole d’Art Decoratif de Nice, where he won a national prize in photography. He teaches adult art classes at the Mystic Museum of Art, the Avondale Art Center and the Ninigret Art Guild in Charlestown, RI, and gives workshops at the Community Center, Fisher’s Island, NY. Additionally, he teaches plein air painting to the Noank Nine, a group of painters who meet each week, year round.
Lisa Miceli is an elected artist a the Mystic Museum of Art and co-chair of the New England Watercolor Society’s Brushes with Nature plain air painting program.
